Important Information About Applying
Beginning in December, 2011 please go to the appropriate EHE Scholarship Application Form below to apply. No additional information or supplemental documentation is needed to apply; however, students are encouraged to file a FAFSA application and also complete the university's Application for Special Scholarships. The entire process is online. By submitting a scholarship application, you are also giving the scholarship selection committees within the College the right to review relevant academic information from your Ohio State University student record.
Deadlines
All EHE Scholarship applications are due by February 19, 2012. Only students who apply for EHE Scholarships by this date will be considered for awards.
To be considered for need-based scholarships, students are encouraged to also submit a FASFA form by the priority deadline dates. The vast majority of scholarships housed within our college are awarded annually through this application process. There are a few exceptions and we encourage you to see the Unique Scholarship Opportunities page for further information.
Application Instructions
In order to ensure your best chance to be selected for an EHE scholarship, please carefully read and follow all instructions.
The evaluation of your qualifications for individual scholarship, grants-in-aid, and other monetary awards is based on the accuracy and completeness of the information you provide in the EHE Scholarship Application. The information you provide allows us to create an individual profile of your qualifications and match them with the appropriate EHE scholarships for which you are eligible.
Current Undergraduate Students
The EHE Current Undergraduate Scholarship Application must be completed in one sitting but there is not a time limit. In addition to personal information, before you begin the application process please have the following information ready:
- OSU ID#, OSU name.#, OSU email address
- Current or intended EHE school/department
- Current or intended EHE academic major
- Current number of credit hours earned at OSU and your current GPA
- Information on professional conferences you will attend during the 2012-13 academic year
- Information on extracurricular activities you are involved in (1800 characters or less)
- Information on your work/internship experiences (1800 characters or less)
- Personal statement (e.g., goals, career interests, background information) (1800 characters or less)
Incoming Undergraduate Students
The EHE Incoming Undergraduate Student Scholarship Application must be completed in one sitting but there is not a time limit. In addition to personal information, before you begin the application process please have the following information ready:
- High school GPA and rank
- High school information (name, city, state, county, country)
- Composite ACT and/or SAT scores
- Number of anticipated AP credit hours or college credits that you will transfer to OSU
- OSU ID#, OSU name.#, OSU email address
- Current or intended EHE school/department
- Current or intended EHE academic major (click for link)
- Information on extracurricular activities you are involved in (1800 characters or less)
- Information on your work/internship experiences (1800 characters or less)
- Personal statement (e.g., goals, career interests, background information) (1800 characters or less)
Undergraduate Transfer Students
The EHE Undergraduate Transfer Student Scholarship Application must be completed in one sitting but there is not a time limit. In addition to personal information, before you begin the application process please have the following information ready:
- High school information (name, city, state, county, country)
- High school GPA and rank
- Composite ACT and/or SAT scores
- Transfer institution information (name, city, state, country)
- Number of credits that you will transfer to OSU
- Cumulative GPA from your prior institution
- OSU ID#, OSU name.#, OSU email address
- Current or intended EHE school/department
- Current or intended EHE academic major
- Information on extracurricular activities you are involved in (1800 characters or less)
- Information on your work/internship experiences (1800 characters or less)
- Personal statement (e.g., goals, career interests, background information) (1800 characters or less)
Graduate Students
The EHE Graduate Student Scholarship Application must be completed in one sitting but there is not a time limit. Before you begin, please have the following information ready:
- Information about your previous degree granting institution (name, city, state, country)
- GPA from prior degree program
- OSU ID#, OSU name.#, OSU email address
- Current or intended EHE school/department
- Current or intended EHE academic major (click for link)
- Current number of credit hours earned at OSU and your current GPA
- Information on professional conferences you will attend during the 2012-13 academic year
- Information on extracurricular activities you are involved in (1800 characters or less)
- Information on your work/internship experiences (1800 characters or less)
- Details about your research interests and/or projects (1800 characters or less)
- Personal statement (e.g., goals, career interests, background information) (1800 characters or less)
