Educational Technology Services

EHE Educational Technology Services offers a wide variety of online and classroom based eLearning support services. Basic support services are available to all EHE faculty and staff. Some of the current basic support services include access to tools, online tutorials, implementation consultation, and workshops.

Allow your students to have 24/7 access to course materials. Manage student grades and upload them to the registrar. Host text-based, real-time class discussions and link to your reading materials using the OSU Libraries eReserves System.

Interactive Whiteboards

Interactive Whiteboards

Using interactive whiteboards can help your students prepare lessons that take advantage of "smart" technology. You can also use interactive whiteboards in EHE classrooms effectively and develop lessons that take advantage of the full functionality of interactive whiteboards.

Wikis

Provide students with collaborative online workspace to enhance joint and collaborative efforts. Utilizing wikis can also allow you to collaborate with other faculty online.

WordPress Blogs

WordPress Blogs

WordPress will allow you to host an instructor blog that is only for your students to view. You may also use WordPress to assign blogging as a student activity or have students create web-based ePortfolios.

Web Conferencing

Web Conferencing

Having guest speakers remotely speak to your class and the ability to conduct and record real-time class discussions would require web conferencing. You can also include students in remote locations in a seminar or meeting using web conferencing.


Online Course Development

Online Course Development Workshop

This workshop we will discover core knowledge and skills for effective online teaching. We will plan and design course content and learning activities that achieve instructional objectives. We will explore interactive teaching strategies that support active learning. The workshop will provide guidelines, examples, and worksheets about how to incorporate best practices into planning aspects of your own online course. Upon completion of the OCDW, you will be able to apply best practices to design, development and assessing an online course.
