Alumna Georgie Shockey and family at the Cape of Good Hope

Georgie Apelian Shockey ('80 BS Human Nutrition), John Egnor, and her parents Clover and George Apelian ('54 BA History) showed their Buckeye pride while visiting the Cape of Good Hope. They traveled to Africa to celebrate the Apelians’ 50th wedding anniversary, during which they visited Cape Town, went on a safari in the Kapama Private Reserve and saw Victoria Falls in Zambia.

Shockey is a principal with Ruck-Shockey Associates, a food service and hospitality consultancy firm. She is a former member of the EHE Alumni Society, the college's current alumni representative to The Ohio State University Alumni Council and a donor. Egnor is also a foodservice industry professional who supports the college.
