CS Undergraduate Advising
The Department of Consumer Sciences offers three undergraduate majors leading to a Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality Management or Human Ecology.
Programs in the department focus on the enhancement of consumer, individual, and family well-being.
The department's programs encompass --
- product knowledge;
- the study of people who produce and distribute products, as well as the study of the people who use products;
- and the processes involved from product development to distribution to consumption.
The programs in the department provide students with unique opportunities for careers in industries that provide goods and services, ranging from financial planners, to merchandisers in retail or wholesale settings, to product developers, to hotel and restaurant managers, to consumer affairs representatives or directors, to sales representatives.
