Apparel CAD Classes
Apparel CAD classes are always changing to keep up-to-date with industry standards. Coursework and projects vary by year, and may include a designing a collection for special populations, designing cologne/perfume, or designing based on a specific theme.
Final projects are presented to the class and are attended by industry representatives who review and offer advice. These presentations have lead to many job opportunities for students.

- This course has included designing with unusual media and special techniques for solving unusual problems.
Interior CAD Classes
Residential Interior merchandising students have CAD sessions in each of their interior classes. Below is a list of the Residential Interiors classes and how CAD is used in each.
- CS FMRSM 351.02 - Interiors Planning: Residential: Beginning AutoCAD, orthographic floor plans and elevations
- CS FMRSM 425.01 - Housing: Physical Environment Issues: AutoCAD orthographic plans with application to kitchen design and complete house plans
- CS FMRSM 451 - Residential Interiors: Problems in Conceptual Visualization: Use of Adobe Photoshop and AutoCAD for portfolio presentations
- CS FMRSM 593 - Individual Studies: Independent studies in 3d AutoCAD
- CS FMRSM 651 - Residential Interiors: History of Design and Decoration: Use of Photoshop to present concept boards for historic furnishings
