Gerber Web PDM (Product Data Management)

Gerber PDM is an information system for manufacturing and retailing. It helps communication among participants of the production process with design, engineering, costing, and manufacturing information, using a centralized database of product-related information. Gerber PDM now provides Web PDM, which enables fast and accurate communication with manufacturers over the world. We use the standard edition for educational purposes, and students will gain a sense of creating specifications and product information used in apparel manufacturing.

Adobe Illustrator software is a comprehensive vector graphics environment with new transparency in gradients and multiple artboards that invite you to explore more efficient ways to design.

Adobe Photoshop

Adobe Photoshop is an industry standard for image editing. It features bitmap based imaging techniques and is very user friendly. Students can create their own fabric designs using images scanned from any sources. They also can create 2D-images of a 'dressed' figure using a scanned figure and applying fabric designs they created.

Corel Designer

Corel Designer software is a complete technical graphics application that offers precision illustration tools, bitmap-to-vector tracing, professional photo editing and industry-leading file compatibility, including 3D CAD.

Corel Painter

Corel Painter is a highly technical bitmap-based drawing software. It provides a fantastic set of art instruments and effects plus additional features such as dynamic layers, scripts, and image hoses. It features hundreds of brushes and creative materials that students can use to create fashion design and interior design illustrations, or to create original fabric designs.
