The department of Consumer Sciences, through teaching, research and service activities, addresses issues related to meeting consumer needs through customer service and the acquisition and provision of products in the marketplace.
Curriculum in Consumer Sciences
- Courses in Consumer Sciences focus on the perspective of the consumer in the market, customer service, consumer behavior, and the global consumer.
- Courses in the major curriculum focus on technical expertise for success in one's chosen career.
- A course in professional development assists students with career planning and the job search.
- Field experiences are offered in all three majors.
