Fashion Student Organization

The Fashion Student Organization provides students with knowledge of the fashion industry and creates a networking system between professionals in the field and students at OSU. The Fashion Student Organization is open to anyone who is interested in fashion and the corporate world. Plans for the year include service projects, fundraisers for an annual trip to NYC, speakers from the fashion industry, socials, and field trips. American Society of Interior Designers (Student Chapter)

The American Society of Interior Designers (Student Chapter) is an organization for students who are interested in a profession in the area of interior design or interior design products. Through guest speakers, field trips, and design collaborations with professionals students gain access to the latest developments in design trends and professional practices. Information about the organization and meetings can best be obtained from Dr. Susan Zavotka, advisor.

Black Retail Action Group

The Black Retail Action Group (BRAG) serves to promote the inclusion, acceptance, and participation of people of color at all levels of retail and related industries through a partnership with BRAG national. BRAG also provides students with employment and scholarship opportunities through BRAG national's employment referral program, the scholarship program, and the BRAG/CDC summer internship program. The advisor for the OSU chapter is Leslie Stoel.

Fashion Production Association

The Fashion Production Association became an official student organization in 2007. Its purpose is to provide students in the Fashion and Retail Studies program with the opportunity to publicly display their abilities in garment design and construction, as well as advertising, fundraising, and special event production, culminating in a fashion design show or public exhibit at the end of the school year. The club's advisor is Nancy Rudd.

Financial Planning Association at OSU

The Financial Planning Association at OSU provides an environment that allows for the development and enhancement of skills necessary for a career as a financial planner. FPA is a professional development organization, enhancing the student experience through creating opportunities for contact with financial service professionals and financial planning firms. Advisor is Dr. Jonathan Fox.

Hospitality Management Association

The Hospitality Management Association is the student organization for Hospitality Management. HMA is dedicated to providing opportunities for professional activities for the HM students through field trips, professional meetings (Chicago, NY, state and local organizations in hospitality), co-curricular workshops and industry presentations (interviewing skills, "dress for success", etc.). Advisor is Dr. Betty Kaye.
