Consumer Sciences Materials Analysis Laboratory
The resources of the Materials Analysis Laboratory support the teaching, research, and outreach missions of the university as they relate to fiber and textile science.

The Materials Analysis Laboratory is equipped for a full range of textile and fiber analysis. The laboratory includes:
- Perkin Elmer model 2000 Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrometer, Carver press, and additional sample preparation tools
- TA Instrumentals Modulated Differential Scanning Calorimeter
- Ahiba Texomat Dyeing Machine
- Ahiba Easydye Dyeing Machine
- Zeiss Axioplan Research Microscope, with phase, polarized light, differential interference capabilities.
- ProgRes Digital Camera, Kontron KS-300 Image Analysis Software, and Zeiss Axiovision Software
