Biography

Donna Pastore is Professor of Sport Management in the Department of Human Sciences. She serves the Undergraduate Coordinator of the Sport Industry major. She earned her BS and MA in Physical Education from the University of Florida. She received her PhD in Physical Education/Athletic Administration from the University of Southern California.

Pastore is in her 30th year as an educator and came to OSU after serving on the faculty at The Penn State University-Beaver Campus. She coached college softball for six years. Her research, focusing on intercollegiate athletic issues, has been published in a number of professional journals. She has published more than 100 peer-reviewed articles and made more than 200 presentations. She served as the president of the National Association for Girls and Women in Sport from 1997-98. In 2002, she was awarded the North American Society for Sport management prestigious Earle F. Zeigler Lecture Award.
