Two types of study abroad programs are available to Education and Human Ecology students. The College of Education and Human Ecology (EHE) has recently established a unique study abroad program in Korea and is working toward developing many programs around the world.
Korean Study Abroad Program - Soonchunhyang University, Asan, Korea
This program offers courses taught in English in the areas of Korean and East Asian society, culture and history, Korean language, and international relations. The university is located in a rural town in the central west of South Korea, which is surrounded by beautiful mountains and has nearby historical, cultural attractions.
Full scholarship is provided for tuition, room/board, and airfare reimbursement is up to $800 for admitted students.
Course requirements: U.S. students take 13 credit hours per semester in Korean/Asian cultures including Korean language. Courses are taught in English except Korean language. Students are also involved in an internship of 15 hours per week as "Cultural and Language Ambassador" for Korean students who are enrolled in English classes (6 credit hours).
