- EDU P&L 370 - Computers in the Classroom - An introduction to educational computing.
- EDU P&L 671 - Fundamentals of Computer Applications in Education and Training - This introduction to educational computing is delivered over the web and supported through optional meetings on campus. Requirements include participating in on-line discussions on relevant topics, producing a brief PowerPoint ™ lesson, and developing a webpage.
- EDU P&L 823 - The Functions of the Computer in the Classroom - This introductory course covers topics and issues surrounding uses of computers and related technologies in education. Topics include multiple approaches to using technology, technology and educational reform, the relationship of technology to cognition, equity issues, ethical issues, research implications, and others.
- EDU P&L 677 - Educational Telecommunications - This course will examine how technology can overcome distance and bring people and materials together for learning. Topics include introduction and hands-on experience with videoconferencing, synchronous and asynchronous web-based interactions, resources available through satellite and cable; classroom and administrative perspectives will be included.

This course examines issues such as: how visuals communicate, design of visual information, visual literacy in the 21st Century.
