About Us

A Proud Tradition

The college continues to rank high in graduate education programs. Administration and Supervision is in the top ten of U.S. News and World Report's 2008 rankings, and the college has been in the top tier among graduate programs since the magazine began the rankings. The college is widely recognized for its innovative graduate teacher preparation program, which provides licensure at the master's level, as well as for the nationally proclaimed doctoral programs.

The National Academy is under the direction of Dr. Ralph A. Johnson, Superintendent in Residence in the College of Education and Human Ecology. The Academy for Superintendents was established by the College of Education in 1983 under the leadership of Dr. Joseph L. Davis, former Superintendent of Columbus City Schools and faculty member of OSU.
