Master Degrees
There are two master's degree options: the thesis option and the non-thesis option. You will decide, in consultation with your advisor, what your plan of study will look like. Prior to graduating, you will be required to submit a program plan signed by you and your advisor showing that you have completed all the School's requirements for a master's degree.
The thesis option consists of a minimum of 45 credit hours (depending on your program). You will complete a thesis and a one hour oral exam.
The non-thesis option consists of a minimum of 50 credit hours (depending on your program). In addition, you will complete a four (4) hour comprehensive exam, an action research project, or a case-study exam, depending on your advisor's and/or specific program's requirements.
