Transfer of a Graduate Program within Ohio State
A transfer application packet is available to the students who have been admitted to the Graduate School at The Ohio State University and are planning to do one of the following:
- Transfer from one graduate program to another within the School of Educational Policy and Leadership or within The Ohio State University
- Apply to a Ph.D. program offered in the School of Educational Policy and Leadership after earning a master's degree at Ohio State.
- Apply to a Ph.D. program offered in the School of Educational Policy and Leadership prior to completing a master's program at Ohio State.

Please note: a student who has received a Master's of Arts in Education or a Ph.D. in Education from the College of Education and Human Ecology may not pursue the same degree a second time in the College, regardless of the school or area of specialization.
Transfer of Graduate Program from Another University
Students who are planning to transfer to our graduate program from another university will follow the application process for new graduate students. Transfer of graduate credits earned at another university will be reviewed and processed following the actual admission. Please refer to the Graduate School handbook (pdf) for more information.
