The Nutrition in Industry Option within the Human Nutrition Major is for students interested in the business practices associated with the food industry. The program will prepare students for careers in the development, marketing, advertisement, and sales of food and health products. In addition to the core nutrition courses, students will complete a General Business Minor through the Fisher College of Business. Graduates of the program may be employed by pharmaceutical companies, regulatory agencies, or nutrition product development teams.

As part of program requirements, students majoring in Nutrition in Industry will complete a General Business Minor through the Fisher College of Business. The General Business Minor includes the following courses:
Students are required to earn a C- or higher in each of these courses to receive minor credit. To declare the General Business Minor, students should make an appointment in 201 Campbell Hall to meet with Charles Mawhirter.
