2007 EHE Alumni Events

Elvis has left the building...

. . . and is racing his Caddie to bring Graceland to Buckeye Land for the Alumni Reunion Weekend, Sept. 7-9!
On the bill are parties especially for our human ecology and education family. The Ohio State University Alumni Association also has a lineup that has got us all shook up.
We know you're eager to find out about it.  We can even hear you saying, "Such an easy question." But hold on - full details and a registration form are online (or you may request a schedule from Nancy Swearengin, 614-292-2743).

It's Now or Never

Come to Columbus and rock around the clock with us (we can't resist mixing a little Bill Haley and His Comets with all this Elvis!).  Do it right now, Pretty Mama.

We Want You, We Need You, We Love You

College Class Reunion Dinner, Friday, Sept. 7

The classes of 1947, 1957, and 1967 are our special guests this year. The Class of '47 was grown up and the Class of '67 was in elementary school, but the Class of '57 was in the front row when Elvis introduced his first No. 1 single, "Heartbreak Hotel." Prepare to brush up your blue suede shoes - it's a dinner and a show for only $10 a ticket!  RSVPs are due by August 15, 2007.

All-College Tailgate, Saturday, Sept. 8

On Saturday, Sept. 8, all human ecology and education alumni are invited to gather for Outback Steak and Bloomin' Onions Down Under (under the tent, that is) before the Buckeyes take on the University of Akron. The Education and Human Ecology Football Tailgate, catered by Outback Steakhouse thanks to college alumnus Bill Leahy, Outback regional VP, will be held in the plaza between Arps Hall and the Wexner Center three hours before kickoff. The cost is $85 per person for game tickets and brunch. Brunch alone, for alumni who have tickets from other sources, is $25 per person. The reservation deadline is August 15, 2007.

The Rules: Because game tickets for alumni are limited, only two game tickets are offered per individual or household, and they must be purchased with a brunch. Priority goes to alumni who are members of the OSU Alumni Association and members of our alumni societies. A lottery will be held if the demand for tickets exceeds the supply (all applications received by August 15 will be included). Confirmation notices will be sent by e-mail as soon as possible (or by U.S. mail only if requested). Alumni with game tickets from other sources are welcome to buy only the brunch.

The Physical Activity and Educational Services Alumni Awards and Tailgate

On Sept. 8 will start three hours before kickoff at the new PAES Building. Reservations are due August 15. Contact: Sally Dellinger [dellinger.1@osu.edu]

OSU Alumni Association Events

There will be a lot to do at the reunion weekend. Most of the OSU Alumni Association programs are free, and all alumni are welcome.  Preregistration is required, and enrollment may be limited. But there is a bonus: Several sessions feature College of Education and Human Ecology people and programs. Look for the asterisks.
