He is especially concerned with preparing teachers to offer adapted physical education for diverse students with disabilities. His service includes leadership of diversity recruitment and retention programs for the College of Education and Human Ecology and PAES.
A nominator said, "He has a commitment to the success and mentorship of young professionals from marginalized and underrepresented groups and is a productive, focused scholar with an impressive record of scholarship, service and mentorship."
