Alumna Jennifer Glasbrenner and her wedding party spell out O-H-I-O EHE alumna Jennifer (Dichazi) Glasbrenner, ’09 Human Nutrition, and Chad Glasbrenner (center couple) couldn’t resist celebrating #BuckeyeLove at their wedding with fellow alumni Katie Trausch (’09 Strategic Communication) and Cody Glasbrenner (’07 Geography).

EHE alumna Jennifer (Dichazi) Glasbrenner recently wrote to share her #BuckeyeLove for February.

I met Chad (’09 Criminology) when we were freshmen in 2005, both living in Smith Hall. We were neighbors first and then became fast friends. By summer we were dating.

Our first love is The Ohio State University, and with that mutual love for the Buckeyes as our foundation, we graduated together and were married six years later. We had to play Hang on Sloopy and take the standard O-H-I-O picture at our wedding because Katie, my maid of honor, and Cody, Chad’s best man, were also graduates of Ohio State, as were many of our close friends.

We spread our #BuckeyeLove everywhere we go, from our daily lives to our baby's newborn pictures, including the ones you see on this page!

Why did you choose to attend Ohio State?

I chose to attend Ohio State because, coming from a small town, I wanted that big city experience. I knew Ohio State is ranked very highly for education and wanted its prestigious diploma. I did not even want to apply to any other colleges.

I have many fond memories from my years at Ohio State. Most significant are game days in the ‘Shoe. Nothing can compare to the sounds and the thrill you experience with everyone uniting to show their #BuckeyeLove.

What are you doing today in your career?

After graduating in 2005 with a BS in Human Nutrition, I went on to obtain a Master’s Degree in Nutrition. I have since been working as a dietitian for the Department of Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center. It was a dream of mine to help serve the Veteran population as my father served in the U.S. Air Force. Now I’m living the dream.

It has been an added benefit to now be considered an Ohio State alumna because I was able to serve on the 5 Under 25 Ohio State Alumni Council. It’s great to help encourage and educate future graduates of the College of Education and Human Ecology.
