Associate Professor Lin Ding has been named Distinguished Professor of Chutian by the Hubei Provincial Department of Education in China after he was awarded the Chutian Scholar Award for his work in science education.

“I will lead a collaborative team with members from both the School of Education and the School of Physics and Optoelectronics at Yangtze University to carry out discipline-based science education research,” Ding said. “I hope I can use this opportunity to further my international collaborations with colleagues in China and play an ambassador role to promote our EHE global reputation.”

The Chutian Scholar Award is a highly competitive accolade bestowed to “internationally leading experts to create strong cross-national collaborations to boost innovation and research.” Additionally, Ding will be appointed a visiting chair professor at Yangtze University.
