Professor
Dr. Pastore served on the faculty at The Pennsylvania State University Beaver Campus before coming to The Ohio State University. She coached college softball for six years. Her research, focusing on intercollegiate athletic issues, has been published in the Journal of Sport Management, Sociology of Sport Journal, The Physical Educator, Journal of Sport and Social Issues and the Journal of Professional Ethics.
In addition, Dr. Pastore recently presented her research at several professional conferences, including the North American Society for Sport, American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation & Dance and National Girls and Women in Sport Symposium. She served as the president of the National Association for Girls and Women in Sport from 1997-98. She is a member of three editorial boards: International Journal of Sport Management, Future Focus and The Women in Sport and Physical Activity. In 1995, she was awarded the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance prestigious Mabel Lee Award. The University of Florida bestowed the Alumna of Outstanding Achievement Award upon Dr. Pastore in 1997.
