Formative Assessments:

Students will receive target points for reporting daily progress orally to the whole class. Students will practice conflict resolution steps and be assessed on their ability to work through the stages. Bring students from other classes and study halls to role-play conflicts and their resolutions. Students will write a reflection on their experience and their goals for continued skill development.

Summative Assessments:

  1. Student groups will be brought together and randomly asked questions about their articles. Students in the group that developed the paper will be expected to know all the content and answer any question they are asked about their newspaper.
  2. The rubric below will be used to access the newspapers. The student groups should self-access using this rubric, and the teacher and principal will score the newspaper, as well.
