Implementing the Unit

Estimated Time: Eight days.

Student Knowledge / Skill Level: Beginning.

Prerequisite courses or Experiences: None.

Pre-assessment: None.

Materials Needed: Access to word processing.

Facilities: Tables and chairs or desks that allow pairs and groups of four to work together. Copies of surveys. Plan a way for students to access a random selection of students to respond to the survey and be interviewed about real problems.

Business and Industry Resources: Some companies’ human resource personnel have training in human relations and may assist you with this unit as consultants, speakers, or reviewers of student work.

Other Local Assets: School librarian and school counselor.
