Student knowledge/skill level: Beginner

This unit is designed for students in grades 6, 7, and 8. Knowledge/skill level will need to be determined by the instructor.

Prerequisite courses or experiences: none

Pre-assessment: none

Materials Needed: Computers, software, paper (all types), markers, scissors, stapler, other art supplies.

Facilities: Tables and chairs or desks that allow pairs and groups of four to work together. Copies of surveys. Plan a way for students to access a random selection of 40 students to respond to the survey and be interviewed about real problems.

Business and Industry Resources: Human resource officers may be helpful in coaching students about relationships in the workplace.

Other Local Assets: Parents, teachers, guidance counselors, and students can serve as "expert" contacts to consult and review student work.
