![]() Future Students Program and degree requirements | How to apply | Financial awards The WDE Section offers three undergraduate programs, an M.A. and Ph.D., as well as a range of certificate and licensure options for professionals in Workforce Development and Education. Many of our programs utilize cutting edge technology and our program is uniquely suited to the needs of working professions. The majority of the classes take place in the evenings. A significant number of courses are taught on-line. Undergraduate Programs Graduate Programs Undergraduate Student Applications Direct Enrollment: New first quarter freshmen and transfer students admitted to The Ohio State University have the option of direct enrollment into the School of Physical Activity & Educational Services (PAES). For direct enrollment, The School of PAES requires that incoming freshmen have a composite ACT score of 22 or higher (SAT score of 1020 or higher) or a high school class rank in the top 35% of their graduating class. Transfer students who meet OSU admission requirements can be directly enrolled into the School of PAES. Undergraduate students directly enrolled in PAES are considered pre-majors and must follow the application procedure for admission to the desired major. This procedure includes completion of prerequisite courses, achievement of minimum required grade point average, and any other requirement stipulated for the major. Selective Admissions: The PAES Office of Student Services & Academic Programs has applications for each major available to students. The application processes for all majors in the School of PAES require that you complete an application form and submit it along with a statement of intent, resume, letters of reference, and official transcripts of all college and university work (an OSU advising report is acceptable for coursework completed at OSU). Other admission criteria vary depending on the major. For the major in Technical Education and Training, the requirements are as follows: Technical Education and Training accepts applications the third week of any quarter for the next quarter’s admission. All students should have completed 45 hours of course work with a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or better for the Corporate Training and Development and 2.75 for the Business Education Teacher Education. In addition, students must complete the following classes with a grade of C- or better: English 110, Mathematics placement at level R, or completion of Math 075/104.
