Graduation Checklist

  1. Apply for graduation – Schedule an appointment with a UGSS advisor prior to the 10th Friday of semester
  1. Enroll in any remaining coursework, needed to graduate:
    • All curricular requirements need to be successfully completed – run a degree audit
    • Complete a minimum of 120 total credit hours
    • Minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA
  1. Complete Student Loan Exit Interview, if applicable
  2. Check Buckeye Link for holds on account (transcripts, financial hold, etc.)
  3. Check Buckeye Link for spelling of your name on diploma and permanent address listed
    • Under the “Academics” header click “My Academics” then “View My Graduation Status” Need changes? Submit Change of Record form at least one month prior to commencement.

  1. Send transfer credits, if applicable
  2. Complete Commencement Ceremony Excused Form, if applicable
  3. Declare minor, if applicable (email advisor for next steps if not yet declared)
  4. Complete Honors/Non-Honors Thesis paperwork, if applicable
  5. Please consider completing Ohio State’s Graduation Survey to provide your valuable input. This survey opens approximately one month prior to commencement.
