College Working Groups

These yearlong working groups are composed of EHE faculty and staff working together to address the pressing issues impacting education and human ecology. The groups will address the following four topics throughout the year:

  • Diversity, health and nutrition
  • Diversity and immigration
  • Diversity and international contexts
  • Diversity, urban education and social justice

Participants in these groups will collaborate and propose innovative ways to connect theory with practice and respond to educational concerns. Ways you might collaborate include:

  • Engaging in shared readings on a defined topic
  • Collaborating on research and grant proposals
  • Proposing a college-wide lecture series
  • Sponsor college and community educational forums
  • Publish educational position statements or educational responses to national crises
  • Present legislation at state or national levels

Each group is provided with a small monetary incentive to assist in accomplishing their goals. To join one of our working groups, complete the survey. For more information, contact Valerie Kinloch or Ryann Randall.
