Bilingual Endorsement

Our Bilingual Endorsement trains Ohio educators who hold a standard Ohio teaching certificate or license to work with emergent bilingual students in pre-k to 12th grade.

This multi-age endorsement provides teachers with coursework and field experience focused on:

  • bilingual language acquisition, 
  • bilingual programs and curricula, 
  • culture, 
  • instruction, 
  • assessment and 
  • advocacy

Endorsement candidates must specialize and demonstrate proficiency in a language other than English.

Our endorsement programs are designed to have flexibility around your schedule, making earning one a convenient and smooth process.

ATTN: All Endorsement Applicants - A minimum 50 clock hours of field experiences are required for each additional licensure area beyond the candidate's initial license. This new state requirement applies to all endorsement areas.
