The undergraduate program in Human Development and Family Science is the only program at Ohio State with a primary concentration on family and human development. You'll get a broad base of knowledge about how children, adults, and families develop, and undergraduate research opportunities.

Interested in changing your major to Human Development and Family Science? Current EHE students interested in switching their major to Human Development and Family Science can call the Undergraduate Student Services Office at 614-292-9261 to schedule an appointment. Students who are interested in declaring a major in EHE must first meet with an EHE Academic Advisor. To schedule an appointment:

HDFS is a non-competitive major. Once a student meets the following requirement, he or she will be directly admitted into the full major.

  • 2.00 or higher cumulative Ohio State GPA
