Special Education Undergraduate Major
The Special Education program admits students to the undergraduate major once per year, during autumn semester. Most students apply to the program in their sophomore year, though students who are beyond sophomore status are eligible to apply. Students admitted to the program begin taking the prescribed curriculum during spring semester. Regardless of student status when admitted (e.g., whether you are considered a sophomore, junior, or senior by the university in terms of earned credit hours), completion of the degree and program requirements will take two and a half (2.5) additional years (i.e., spring semester following admission plus two full academic years).
Additional information on the Special Education Undergraduate Program—including application information—is available on the Undergraduate Student Services site.
