Biography

Hea-Jin Lee, Ph.D. is an associate professor of Mathematics Education at the Ohio State University-Lima. Lee’s research areas are related to mathematics teacher education, including improving reflective thinking and practice; assessing professional growth; designing teacher-needs based professional development programs; culturally responsive teaching; analyzing the effectiveness of technology-enabled teacher professional development; as well as utilizing digital resources and mobile devices in teaching mathematics. She also is interested in the area of teaching mathematics to students with mathematical learning difficulties. 

Dr. Lee has served as the PI on a numbers of state-funded projects, such as Discovery programs and Improving Teachers Quality programs.  She has developed and administrated more than 10 successful professional development programs for mathematics teachers.
