Elaine Richardson, professor in the College of Education and Human Ecology as well as founder and chair of the Education Foundation for Freedom, announces that registration is now ready for the annual 2025 Columbus Women and Girls’ Fest. The event is free and open to all.
The Fest annually celebrates women and promotes women and girl-identified leaders in arts and culture. It annually brings Columbus together for entertaining performances, arts, dance, workshops, vendors, food trucks, bouncy house, leisure activities such as games, giveaways and more — all for the whole family. Bring your lawn chairs.
This year’s headline performer is rapper and Netflix star Detroit Diamond.
Other featured artists include the acoustic duo Starlit Ways, as well as Kelo, a spoken word artist, singer, songwriter, producer and music educator.
The Cincinnati Rope Twisters Double Dutch Team is scheduled to perform. More entertainers, artists and speakers will be announced.
The event is free and open to the public, but registration is required. Space is limited, so register soon.
The first 100 registrants for the multigenerational Lunch and Learn Workshop will enjoy a free lunch.
Volunteers are welcome.
