Graduate Associate Positions

Graduate Associates (GAs) play a key role in the teaching, research, and learning goals in the College of Education and Human Ecology.

While your focus as a graduate student is to earn a graduate degree, GA positions provide opportunities to gain instructional, research, and/or administrative experience to complement academic coursework and provide financial support. GAs are assigned a faculty or staff supervisor and have access to a graduate associate manager who guides professional development.

The College of Education and Human Ecology offers three types of GA positions:

  • Graduate Research Associates (GRA)
  • Graduate Teaching Associates (GTA)
  • Graduate Administrative Associates (GAA)

If you are interested in becoming a GA, carefully review the requirements and application procedure below.

If you have any questions regarding the GA experience or application process, please contact the GA Manager.
