Head coach Urban Meyer, who received a master’s degree in sports administration in 1988, told reporters that the 2014 squad was a “unique team.” The victory against the Ducks was Meyer’s third national championship.

Luke Fickell, defensive coordinator/linebacker coach, earned a BS in exercise science education in 1997. He told, "Coach has always said and I've always said and everyone before has always said, it's not about just one team or one guy or one person or one coach. This is a special place."
