Gearing Up 4 Your Grant Proposal (GU4GP) is a 9-part series which focuses on preparing researchers to write competitive Development and Innovation (Goal #2) and Efficacy and Follow-up (Goal #3) proposals to the Institute of Education Sciences (IES). Series topics and materials are also relevant to other funders like the National Science Foundation (NSF) and the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
The workshops in this series meet once a month throughout the year and emphasize the practical and methodological aspects of IES grant preparation, from research questions and theories of change to appropriate causal research designs and building effective teams. Speakers will share tips and examples from their own experiences as grant writers and reviewers. At the end of the series, participants will have the tools they need to craft high-quality intervention development and efficacy proposals.
