Mentor Educators play a significant role in the development of The Ohio State University students. The Office of Accreditation, Placement and Licensure (APL) partners with programs to support mentors through placements and provide opportunities for your own continued professional development.
Mentor Training

Professional Development for Educators
Professional development is continuously offered through our office and is supported by the Master Exchange of Services agreement. We can help one teacher, a classroom of teachers, a whole building or a district. Contact the APL office to find out how we can help you.

The College of Education and Human Ecology provides timely and relevant professional development offerings in response to current needs and trends in education. Workshops address the rapidly developing needs of educators’ student population.
The College of Education and Human Ecology’s Department's of Educational Studies, Teaching and Learning, and Human Sciences offer various credit bearing courses.

The Office of Accreditation, Placement, and Licensure recommends more than 550 candidates and interns for licensure approval each year.
Fee authorizations are allocated on an annual basis and reported directly to participating institutions. Educators should follow their district or organization’s procedures to access fee authorizations, if applicable.
