Cory Brown

Dr. Cory Brown’s research interest crosses interdisciplinary boundaries of curriculum, sociology, cultural studies and culturally relevant pedagogy. Dr. Brown served as an Assistant Professor of Educational Foundations in the Early Childhood and Elementary Education Department at Murray State University. In this position, taught and coordinated many of the foundations of education courses for all teacher education graduate and undergraduate students, which were offered in face-to-face, hybrid, and online formats. Dr. Brown received his Doctorate of Philosophy degree in Multicultural and Equity Studies in Education from The Ohio State University in August of 2012 and formerly served (2013-2016) as the Ashland Oil Inc., Endowed Assistant Professor of Education in the Early Childhood and Elementary Education Department at Murray State University.
