Biography

Ye Shen is a Dean’s Diversity Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Teaching and Learning. She broadly focuses on bilingual language development and literacy acquisition among linguistically diverse children. She examines the cognitive and neurobiological mechanisms underlying multilingual language and literacy development, as well as the external factors (e.g., bilingual programming, socioeconomic status) that impact multilingual development. She takes an interdisciplinary approach using both behavioral and neuroimaging measures to study the cross-linguistic processes underlying multilingual literacy acquisition.
