What brought you to this program? What is a highlight of this degree at OSU?
The Hospitality Management Ph.D. program in Consumer Sciences with top notch professors was highly fascinating to me due to my ambition to perform research about service management and marketing by understanding consumer behaviors in the context of the hospitality (tourism and event) industry. Thanks to the interview with professors in our program before joining, I felt confident that our program has the merit of doing in depth research which students are interested in with a careful guidance of professors. This mentorship will be the most important factor for me to grow into an excellent researcher who has broad knowledge about the hospitality field and contributes to the hospitality management academia.
This Hospitality Management program also has the advantage of broadening my knowledge since it is in Consumer Sciences program area that provides opportunities for multidisciplinary study (e.g., psychology, marketing, and sociology) with a focus on consumer behavior.
