The opportunity to further my knowledge as a coach is what brought me to this program. The biggest highlights for me have been learning from other coaches.

What brought you to this program? What is a highlight of this degree at OSU?
Extremely passionate about coaching and having a positive impact on student-athletes lives on and off the golf course. This degree is teaching me the tools needed to better support and guide my players to achieve their highest potential as athletes and people.

I completed my Bachelor of Science degree in kinesiology with a concentration in health and physical education at LSU where I graduated with the Magna Cum Laude Latin honor.

Sports coaching and physical education pedagogy.

I presented ProudMe research on physical education lowering the obesity risk of adolescents at the Louisiana Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance (LAHPERD) Convention in 2022.
I graduated from LSU with Latin honor Magna Cum Laude and with Distinguished Honors as vice president of the College of Human Sciences and Education Ambassadors program.
I was awarded the Archie and Bonita Griffin Sport Coaching Scholarship Fund at Ohio State in 2023.
I am currently holding a GRA position in the Ohio State Office of Diversity Graduate and Professional Student Services (GPS) program.
What brought you to this program? What is a highlight of this degree at OSU?
Even though I was born and raised in Texas, I have always had family in Ohio and have been a Buckeye fan. When time came for me to consider graduate school the Master of Sport Coaching degree stood out to me as it is the only Masters Degree I came across that focuses especially on coaching at elite college and professional levels. This was very important to me as I hope to one day coach Men's Division 1 Collegiate Basketball, the elite focus of this degree is what drew me in and will help me prepare to coach at such a high level.

What brought you to this program? What is a highlight of this degree at OSU?
The main aspect that brought me to this program was the focus of this degree. When looking at other sports degree's at other universities, coaching is not the main focus of learning which is what I wanted and what Ohio State was able to provide. A highlight of this degree, Masters of Sports Coaching, is the opportunity to hear and learn from numerous current and previous coaches here within Ohio State's outstanding athletic department.

What brought you to this program? What is a highlight of this degree at OSU?
I decided to stay at this highly ranked university to fulfill my masters degree after loving my undergraduate time spent here. I am wanting to become a sports agent and make some time in my life to pursue coaching as a career as well, with this masters degree it will fulfill what I need for both of those careers. The highlight of this degree is the diversity of classes you can take whether it’s Sports Law, Ethics in Coaching, or Recruiting Student Athlete’s you gain great knowledge in all areas of the sports industry.

The Ohio State University is one of the best schools in the country with some of the best educators the world has to offer. It was a no brainer deciding to join this program when I saw who was part of it.
