Our college strives to provide exceptional learning opportunities to all students. And students rise to the occasion, time and time again, devoting themselves to learning. The 2026 Summer Dean’s List demonstrates their success.
In each of our programs, students learn, practice and grow. During summer semester, these 69 students in our college excelled, earning top grades and gaining experience.
“We congratulate you, our students, for dedicating yourselves to your programs,” said Interim Dean Erik Porfeli. “Making the Dean’s List means that you have dedicated yourself to excellence inside the classroom and extending into the community through a variety of experiential learning opportunities. Our College of Education and Human Ecology shines brighter because of your achievements.”

To describe how these students excel in a few of our programs, future teachers spend hundreds of practicum hours in K-12 classrooms. They study teaching and learning theory. Then, they use their knowledge to connect with school-age pupils and support their academic growth.
In our popular Exercise Science program, students learn human anatomy, the principles of human performance and how to develop an exercise program for specific needs. Then they put that knowledge to work in the lab with real clients, evaluating their improvement.
Some students undertake research projects with faculty mentors. They make discoveries that add momentum to improving their field.
