EHE Graduation Celebrations

EHE will celebrate its Summer 2023, Autumn 2023 and Spring 2024 graduates with two events.

EHE Commencement for Master’s, Specialist and Doctoral Graduates

NOTE: New location below

Who: College of Education and Human Ecology master's, specialist and doctoral graduates from Summer 2023, Autumn 2023, and Spring 2024.

Location: Covelli Center, 2640 Fred Taylor Dr., Columbus, Ohio 43210

Date: Wednesday, May 1, 2024

Times: 
4 p.m. doors open for guests
4:30 students and faculty line up
5-7 p.m. ceremony 
7-8 p.m. reception

Registration is required. A link will be sent by email to graduates.
The ceremony will be live streamed and available on this web page. No registration is required to view the live stream.

Accessibility: Please email Katie Sherman at sherman.1343@osu.edu or let a red coat at the entrance upon arrival.

Entry: Graduates will enter the building through the Jennings entrance. This entrance is on Irving Schottenstein Drive, opposite the Jesse Owens Stadium. Someone will be stationed there to direct graduates to the area where they will line up.

Guests may enter through the main ticket lobby, which faces Fred Taylor Drive.

Parking: Guest parking across the street from the Covelli Center in the commuter parking lot. Cost is $10 payable with card (preferred) or cash. Parking is at the northwest corner of Fred Taylor Drive and Irving Schottenstein Drive and will be manned by CampusParc. Guests will enter through the main ticket lobby, which faces Fred Taylor Drive.

Security:  There will be a bag check. The following items are prohibited: No backpacks or bags larger than 8” x 5” x 1”, food or beverages of any kind (although empty water bottles to fill inside are acceptable), weapons, glass, cans, fireworks, laser pens, confetti canons, noise makers, projectiles, smoking/vape devices, professional cameras/equipment or external flashes, large signs, flags that obstruct view or with symbolic meaning, poles or sticks.

You can rent regalia or purchase custom regalia. 
To rent, regalia, you have two choices:

1. Pick up your order in store at Barnes & Noble Ohio State (1598 N High Street), The deadline to order is March 13. Once the items are ready for pick-up, an email will be sent out with pick up instructions. Pick-up is estimated to start the week of April 22nd. Please be patient and wait for the email with pick up instructions. 
2. Have your regalia shipped. The deadline to order is April 7. It typically takes 2 weeks for the items to ship from our distributor, Oak Hall. Once the order ships, a tracking number will be emailed to the graduate.

To order custom regalia, the deadline is March 1. It takes 8 weeks for custom regalia to be hand sewn to your specifications. Orders can be placed at https://theohiostateuniversity.shopoakhalli.com/purchasewizard/Welcome.

Note: This celebration is different from the university's commencement on May 5, 2024. EHE's Commencement is planned by the college and is more personalized to this student population. All students will be hooded on stage at EHE's Commencement, students will receive their diploma at the university's commencement.
