Intervention Specialist: Mild/Moderate: K-12 (MA)

Prerequisites (3-6 hours)

The following courses, or their equivalents, are pre-requisites for the specialization. See your advisor for scheduling. These hours do not apply to the total credit hours for the degree.

Students may select a licensure-only strand as part of the MA program. An initial licensure is needed for P-5 Elementary Intervention, Mild to Moderate, and Moderate to Intensive. No initial licensure is needed for Hearing Impairment (HI) because this is an initial licensure.

Coursework for Licensure-Only in Special Education Mild/Moderate Intervention Specialist

To receive licensure by completing the following program of study, students must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and hold a current or expired initial teaching certification or license. All courses are offered for Undergraduate or Graduate credit except ESSPED 8189 Planned Field Experience (G).
