Speaker 1:
When I came here I wanted to go in financial planning and one of my professors told me about the major so I checked it out.
When I coupled it actually with my finance majors. Now I'm a double major in financial planning finance and I really like that it gives me the ability to sit for the CFP exam upon graduation and it really prepares me for the day in and day out things that I'll be doing when I graduate.
Compared to just a typical finance degree, my major is on Human Development and Family science.
I was actually gonna be a business minor instead I found Consumer Financial Services took a class last semester and actually fell in love with it.
I like best about my minor it's many different avenues you can take with the minor based off with the different companies and speakers that came in and talked about their job. So you can be like a mortgage broker or my favorite a financial planner.
So it basically opened my eyes to different things that I will probably be interested in when I graduate.
