University leadership announcement

Dear partners and friends, 

I am pleased to share my strong support for the recent announcement by The Ohio State University Board of Trustees on the appointment of Ravi V. Bellamkonda, PhD, as 18th president of the university. 

During a period of leadership transition within the College of Education and Human Ecology, President Bellamkonda, who formerly served as executive vice president and provost, demonstrated a deep commitment to understanding and supporting the work of our college.  

He was highly engaged with our leadership team, faculty and staff. His engagement has reflected a genuine appreciation for the work happening across our college and the impact it has in shaping educational opportunity, strengthening families and advancing health and well-being.  

President Bellamkonda has been supportive of a wide range of initiatives across our college, recognizing the critical role our disciplines play in addressing some of society’s most pressing challenges. 

As we look ahead, I am optimistic about the future of our college under President Bellamkonda’s leadership. I am confident that the College of Education and Human Ecology will continue to be recognized and supported for its impact and contributions to the university’s broader mission. The course we are currently charting – focused on innovation, collaboration and community engagement – aligns strongly with his vision for the university.
