Guidelines

All students undergraduate or graduate, enrolled in or planning on enrolling in a degree program in EHE at the Columbus or a regional campus are eligible to apply for a scholarship.

You must submit an EHE scholarship application by the specified due date to be considered for any college, or department scholarship.

The EHE scholarship applications are available through ScholarshipUniverse with the exception of the Schoenbaum Internship Program, which accepts applications on a rolling basis.

ONLY students enrolled in a degree program in the College of Education and Human Ecology can receive an EHE scholarship. Students enrolled in degree programs outside the College with an EHE minor are NOT eligible. If a scholarship recipient transfers to a program outside of EHE at any time, then he/she is no longer eligible, and the scholarship award will be cancelled.

Important Scholarship Information

Submitting the ScholarshipUniverse scholarship application does not mean you have applied for federal aid or any other university awards. All students are strongly encouraged to fill out a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and the ScholarshipUniverse scholarship application to maximize their aid eligibility. Completing the FAFSA is necessary to determine eligibility for need based scholarships and grants, both from the university and the college. Please visit the Student Financial Aid webpage, https://sfa.osu.edu/, for additional information.

Scholarship Timeline

All applications received by the due date will be reviewed for scholarship eligibility.

All applicants are notified via their OSU email address (e.g., name.#@buckeyemail.osu.edu) during summer term.

Student Responsibilities

If you are selected to receive a scholarship(s), you are required to complete an acceptance checklist to receive the funds. This includes:

  1. Formally accepting the award by a specified deadline.
  2. Completing the acceptance process by:
    • writing a thank you letter to the donor or donor contact affiliated with the scholarship fund;
