Course information for Quantitative Research Methods


3 steps: GISQRM Application and Plan of Study form, Research Paper Approval form, and Transcript Designation form.

  1. Apply and design your Plan of Study and Submit to a GIS Coordinator (Ann A. O’Connell)
    • This form describes your previous courses in quantitative methods, lists the courses you will take for your plan of study, and outlines the paper topic you will pursue for the GISQRM project.
    • The form is signed by your advisor and one of the GIS Co-Directors.
  2. Once you complete your final paper for the GISQRM, use the following form to obtain GIS Research Paper Approval (advisor and one of the GIS Co-Directors).
  3. The final step in this process is the OSU application for transcript designation
    • “Upon completion of the GISQRM research paper and all courses indicated on the plan of study, the student completes the Graduate Interdisciplinary Specialization Transcript Designation Form (via the GRADFORMS website) and the transcript designation form will be electronically routed for approvals.
