Educational Psychology
As a student in Ohio State's nationally ranked Educational Psychology program, you will engage in research across a range of topics including motivation, self-regulation, reasoning, literacy development, comprehension and engagement. You will learn how to apply research findings to improve performance in education. Our faculty will teach you the cognitive and affective mechanisms of learning, development, motivation and instruction in schools. By the conclusion of your program, you will be able to apply your expertise to design and conduct research, teach, consult, design instruction and serve in administrative roles.

Walter E. Dennis Learning Center provides academic learning services and support to Ohio State students. It also conducts research to better understand and promote college students’ academic success in areas including motivation, self-regulation, procrastination and other factors.
Partnerships with the Schoenbaum Family Center and Crane Center for Early Childhood Research and Policy present exciting opportunities to combine high-quality psychology research and early childhood education.
